RECOMMENDATIONS ON HOW TO EXTEND THE SERVICE LIFE OF PLISSE CURTAINS, WHAT IS PROHIBITED DURING OPERATION

Pleated curtains — It is an elegant and functional decorative element that can last for many years with proper care. To maximize the life of these curtains, it is important to follow certain recommendations and avoid common operating mistakes. Below are useful tips to help keep your pleated curtains in perfect condition.

Recommendations for care and use

  1. Regular cleaning: Pleated curtains require regular cleaning to remove dust and dirt. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner on low setting to remove dust from the fabric. This will help prevent dirt from accumulating, which could damage the material.
  2. Avoid wet cleaning: It is not recommended to use wet cleaning for pleated curtains, as water can damage the folds and change their shape. If a stain needs to be removed, it is best to use a professional cleaning service.
  3. Sun Protection: Although pleated curtains are designed to protect against sunlight, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can fade and weaken the fabric. Consider using additional sunscreens or UV filters on your windows.
  4. Correct use of mechanisms: Pay attention to the way the curtains are controlled. Avoid sudden or forceful pulls when using manual controls. For automatic systems, keep the motor in good working order and check the batteries regularly.

What is prohibited during operation

  1. Do not use sharp objects near the fabric: Sharp or pointy objects can easily damage the curtain fabric, causing tears or defects in the material.
  2. Avoid contact with water and other liquids: Water can not only change the shape of the folds, but also cause mold formation or deformation of the fabric.
  3. Do not smoke near curtains: Cigarette smoke can penetrate the fabric, leaving an unpleasant odor and stains that are difficult to remove.
  4. Do not use chemical cleaners: Chemicals can have an aggressive effect on the fabric of pleated curtains, damaging its structure and color.

Following these simple rules will help keep your pleated curtains in excellent condition.

FAQ

Fabric for roller blinds is 100% polyester, it does not fade in the sun.
No, the installed roller blind will interfere with the full opening of the window, but this is not critical, the window will not open by about 10 cm.
The fabric is completely safe, does not emit any odors and harmful substances. All fabrics have European certificates OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.
Blackout fabrics have several layers of fabric, the outer one cuts off the sun's rays and does not allow the fabric to heat up and transfer heat to the room, and the inner one does not transmit light by 100%. We recommend using such fabrics in bedrooms, nurseries, home theaters, offices.
No, you cannot wash it, otherwise there will be creases and loss of shape.
From 7 to 10 years, depending on the intensity of use.
Roller blinds have antistatic impregnation, so dust does not stick to them and special care for the blinds is not provided, it is enough to vacuum the canvas once a year. If a stain has formed, it can be removed with an eraser or a soft sponge and soapy water.
