RECOMMENDATIONS ON HOW TO EXTEND THE SERVICE LIFE OF ROLLER BLINDS, WHAT IS PROHIBITED DURING OPERATION

Roller blinds have become a popular interior element due to their practicality, stylish appearance and ease of operation. However, in order for the curtains to serve for a long time and reliably, it is important to follow certain rules of operation and maintenance. Below are recommendations on how to extend the life of roller blinds, as well as a list of actions that are strictly prohibited when using them.

How to extend the service life of roller blinds:

  1. Regular cleaning: Dust and dirt can damage the curtain fabric and control mechanism. Wipe the curtains regularly with a dry or slightly damp cloth, and use a vacuum cleaner with a soft attachment to remove dust.
  2. Avoid exposure to moisture: Although some roller blinds are made of moisture-resistant materials, constant exposure to moisture can cause them to deteriorate. It is not recommended to install such curtains in rooms with high humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens, without the necessary ventilation.
  3. Careful handling: When using the curtain raising and lowering mechanism, try to do it slowly and carefully. Sudden movements can cause damage or wear to the mechanism.
  4. UV protection: Sun rays can fade and weaken curtain fabric over time. If possible, try to install curtains so that they are exposed to minimal direct sunlight during the day.
  5. Periodic inspection of the mechanism: Pay attention to the condition of the control mechanisms. If you notice the first signs of wear or damage, contact a specialist for repair or replacement of parts.

What is prohibited when using roller blinds:

  1. Using harsh cleaning products: Using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials to clean may damage the fabric and mechanism of the curtains.
  2. Pull on the fabric: Never pull on the fabric of the curtains to raise or lower them. Always use the mechanism designed for this purpose.
  3. Wet Cleaning: If your curtain is not washable, avoid wet cleaning it. Moisture can cause deformation and deterioration in appearance.

No, the installed roller blind will interfere with the full opening of the window, but this is not critical, the window will not open by about 10 cm.
The fabric is completely safe, does not emit any odors and harmful substances. All fabrics have European certificates OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.
Blackout fabrics have several layers of fabric, the outer one cuts off the sun's rays and does not allow the fabric to heat up and transfer heat to the room, and the inner one does not transmit light by 100%. We recommend using such fabrics in bedrooms, nurseries, home theaters, offices.
No, you cannot wash it, otherwise there will be creases and loss of shape.
From 7 to 10 years, depending on the intensity of use.
Roller blinds have antistatic impregnation, so dust does not stick to them and special care for the blinds is not provided, it is enough to vacuum the canvas once a year. If a stain has formed, it can be removed with an eraser or a soft sponge and soapy water.
